This is the informal website for the Hill Country Bible Church apologetics group, Defending Christianity. Here you’ll find information about our classes, as well as a forum for continuing discussion.
The HCBC apologetics group is comprised of dedicated instructors and organizers. The key members are Dr. Sarah Salviander, Dr. Dennis Wilson, and John Weber. We’re dedicated to teaching:
- A rational basis for the Christian faith
- The flaws of other worldviews
- How to defend the Christian faith with reason and evidence
- How to find harmony between God’s word and God’s world
This first apologetics course will feature weekly classes covering a wide range of topics, including science, philosophy, and history. Classes are grouped into subject modules of several lessons each. The course schedule is here. Brief biographical sketches of our lecturers are here.
The current course begins on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 and runs through late Spring 2018. This course is free and open to the public. You do not have to attend all of the classes to participate — you are free to join us for the lectures that interest you.
We meet Tuesday evenings, 7:00-8:00 pm (+ 30 minute Q&A), in Room 4.114 on the main campus of Hill Country Bible Church:
12124 Ranch Road 620 N
